Now that I’m living back in Milton Keynes I have more opportunities to get involved with the local scene. A friend dropped me a message to let me know that a Honda Culture meet was happening at the usual place. If you’ve read this blog before, you’ll know that this meet used to be a relatively regular occurrence for me, so I was quite excited to see how things had changed. Unfortunately I didn’t get to roll up in the Nissan as its still off the road waiting for new tyres, an MOT and tax, so I walked over instead.
The first car I checked out was this silver Accord on air. Normally I don’t like bagged/tucked cars, but this Accord looked great. The silver on highly polished splits looked awesome, the wheels were immaculate. This car seemed like an amalgamation of the Honda, VW and Bippu scenes, and was a pretty refreshing change.
Dean’s EK Civic caught my attention when he was parking up next to a tidy Corrado. They were both wearing aggressive Schmidt Modern Lines, except Dean’s were bright blue! They looked great against the silver, and this car features the most aggressive Honda fitment I’ve seen in the UK.
Check out these 2 ridiculously clean EK9s. One sits on bronze TE37s, the other sits on white Regamaster Evos. With functional stances and nothing but quality aftermarket parts, these EK9s look exactly how a performance Honda should. The champ white paint was immaculate on both cars, it made me really want to get back in a nippy FWD (the daily VTI Aerodeck is good, but its definitely not an EK9/ITR!).
Not sure who this S14a belonged to, but it reminded me of my own, there aren’t too many Sapphire Blue koukis in this area. The grey TE37s suited it, and although the fitment wasn’t too crazy, the car did look purposeful and sat well.
I had a soft spot for this Accord, the modifications were quite subtle. It was lowered on FN2 wheels (I think?!), and looked great rolling in to the carpark. The purple golf next door was beautiful, sitting on Gold BBS wheels.
There were quite a few tidy VWs amongst the many Hondas. I think its clear to see the scene crossovers; flush wheels, low ride height and clean exteriors/interiors. The scenes have been merging for the past couple of years, and where there used to be rivalry between the Euro and Japanese scenes, they seem to be merging in to one, celebrating clean cars and tasteful modifications, which is all good in my books!

I love those EK9s. I’m not even sure which of those CTRs I prefer.

Awesome Pictures of the meet.
Your comments are spot on about the Accord.
