So the sun finally came out in the UK, and I decided to dust the cobwebs off the S14 and take it out for a spin. Thankfully the trickle charger had kept the battery topped up, so there was no need to jump it. The tyres however, were all flat, so that was the first port of call.
Once they were sorted, I took it for a gentle drive around the local area. I forgot how stiff it was; even compared to the Accord Type-R, which is a very stiff car in general, this felt rock solid. The steering was tight and responsive, which was nice. Unfortunately, due to my HVAC panel being in the States for customisation, complete with my Hazards switch, my indicators weren’t working. As someone who positively rages when people don’t indicate, I decided to knock the drive on it’s head and call it a day.
The suspension is also knocking like crazy. HSDs are definitely going to happen in the near future.
